- Transaction details: bids, purchases, and sales history.
- Shipping details: buyer’s name, address, phone number, and email (shared with sellers for delivery).
- Payment details: processed securely through Stripe Express (AuctionShed does not store card details).
- Technical details: IP address, browser type, and cookies necessary for the platform to function.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Send account-related notifications (auction updates, winning bids, payment reminders).
- Enable payments and vendor payouts through Stripe Express.
- Share buyer contact details with sellers for shipping purposes only.
- Ensure compliance with legal obligations (tax, fraud prevention).
- Improve and secure the platform.
3. Data Sharing
- With sellers: Buyer details (name, address, phone, email) are shared for delivery purposes only. Sellers may not use these details for marketing or unrelated purposes.
- With Stripe: Vendors register and receive payouts via Stripe Express, which has its own Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Vendors must review and accept these when registering.
- With authorities: We may disclose data, only if required by law and with a valid court order.
AuctionShed does not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.
4. Data Security
- Your details are stored securely with technical and organizational safeguards.
- Passwords are encrypted.
- Access is restricted to authorized staff only.
- If a seller or buyer misuses personal data, AuctionShed must be notified immediately. AuctionShed may block or suspend abusers but cannot be held liable for misuse by third parties.
5. Data Retention
- Account data is kept as long as your account is active.
- Transaction data is retained for the legally required accounting and tax period.
- You may request account deletion at any time, subject to legal retention rules.
